Nicki Minaj has officially signed with Lil Wayne and his Young Money label. Joining recent signees to Young / Cash Money that includes Drake and Bow Wow, Nicki Minaj let everyone know the news via a press release today. Minaj signed “an exceptional and very unique deal with Young Money/Universal, where she retains and owns all of her 360 rights, including merchandising, sponsorships, endorsements, touring and publishing,” the press release states.
“I am honored to have Nicki Minaj as Young Money’s First Lady. She is a star,” Lil Wayne said. Nicki Minaj’s debut album is anticipated to be released in early 2010 and will be distributed through Universal Motown.

But staying in the competeitive nature and spirit of hip-hop, we would like to know, Who Do You Think had the best Verse on “Forever?”

The-Dream announced on Twitter that he has been recruited as Executive Vice President of Island Records, replacing Christopher Hicks. “I wanna Thank everyone at Island Records/DefJam for their faith in me and making me Executive Vice President of Island Records,” he wrote.

Juelz Santana, the rapper who’s collaborated with Chris Brown, Sean Kingston and Cam’ron, was arrested at his home in New Jersey — after his wife told cops he threatened to kill her!
Cops tell us they showed up at Santana’s Teaneck home around 10:30 this morning after his wife called 911.
According to law enforcement sources, James’ wife did not need medical assistance — but she told police the threat was made in front of a child.
The rapper was arrested on domestic charges and is still in police custody.
